🔨 Essential Build Mode Tools

Paralives Build Mode is the most powerful building system in any life simulation game. Here's how to master every tool:

🧱 Wall Tool

Click and drag to draw walls. Three types available:

  • Standard (2.4m): Regular height walls for most rooms
  • Half (1.2m): Half walls for open-concept divisions
  • Invisible: Creates room boundaries without visual walls
💡 Pro tip: Always raise your walls to 2.7–3m — the default height feels cramped.

🪵 Floor Tool

Click a room to fill it. Hold Shift to paint a single tile. Create checkerboard, herringbone, or chevron patterns by mixing materials.

🚪 Doors & Windows

Place on walls, then drag corners to resize. Floor-to-ceiling windows? Yes. Tiny accent windows? Also yes.

🏡 Roof Tool

Click Auto Roof for instant coverage. Adjust pitch and eaves by dragging edges. Materials: tile, metal, thatch, slate.

🪜 Stairs

Click ground, drag to define length. Supports straight, L-shape, U-shape, spiral. Requires at least 3 wide × 4 deep tiles.

🎨 Furniture Placement

  • Grid Mode (G): Snap furniture to grid for precise placement
  • Free Mode: Place furniture anywhere with free rotation (R)
  • Resize ([ ]): Scale furniture to any size
  • Color Wheel: Customize any color with hex code support
  • Eyedropper (P): Copy color from existing objects

🚫 Top 5 Beginner Mistakes

  1. Wall height too low — raise to 2.7–3m
  2. Windows too small or too few — bigger windows = better light
  3. Stair space miscalculation — need at least 3×4 tiles
  4. Furniture too large — overscaled items block paths
  5. Too many colors — stick to 3 hues per room
